Villa Cipressi
A magnificent complex of buildings and gardens, built and constructed between 1400 and 1800, the Villa today represents a perfect and harmonious blend of the ancient and the modern, made possible by a meticulous restoration that has preserved the pre-existing architectural lines.
Villa Monastero
Born from the transformation of an ancient Cistercian women's monastery dedicated to the Virgin Mary and built at the end of the 12th century, the Villa saw the succession of different owners - from the Mornico of Valsassina to the German Walter Kees, and finally to the De Marchi of Swiss origin from Milan (to whom the Sala Polifunzionale in Varenna is dedicated) - who were responsible for the costly construction and renovation work that over time gave it its current eclectic appearance.
Town Hall
The Varenna Town Hall, located in the heart of Varenna's municipality, plays a central role in the administration of the local community.
Although lacking significant historical relevance, this building is a testament to modern, functional architecture.
Its relatively recent construction combines a sober, rationalist design with a well-maintained façade.
